The company originally manufactured broadcast monitors but in 1980 they moved into manufacturing measurement and test equipment such as waveform monitors and vectorscopes. Their high quality equipment quickly gained a great deal of respect within the broadcast, satellite and related industries. Videotek was acquired by Leitch Technology Corporation in 2004. Leitch in turn was purchased by the Harris Corporation in 2005. Harris continues to manufacture the Videotek line of equipment to the highest possible standards.
